Ben Shelton shared how he and his girlfriend, Trinity Rodman, spent time in Madrid. Shelton confirmed his relationship with Rodman on social media in March 2025 by posting a mirror selfie of them in an elevator.
Rodman plays as a forward for the Washington Spirit, a team in the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL), and the United States national soccer team.

Shelton most recently competed at the 2025 Madrid Open. He was seeded 12th at the ATP Masters 1000 clay court tournament and began his campaign in the second round after receiving a bye in the first round.
The former World No. 12 secured a victory against Mariano Navone with a score of 4-6, 7-6(5), 6-3 in his opening match before falling 1-6, 4-6 to Miami Open champion Jakub Menšík in the third round.
Shelton also participated in the doubles event alongside Rohan Bopanna. They triumphed over the eighth-seeded pair of Nathaniel Lammons and Jackson Withrow with a 6-7(5), 7-5, [10-7] score in the first round but were defeated by the Argentine pair of Máximo González and Andrés Molteni in the second round with the score reading 4-6, 7-6(5), [9-11].
After his campaign’s conclusion, Shelton shared a series of photos chronicling his recent adventures. These included pictures of him and Rodman at the tournament, alongside images of his time on the court, at the gym, and even at the golf course.

Reacting to Shelton’s post, Rodman affectionately referred to him as her “man” and her “forever obsession” in the comments section.
“My man my man my mannnnnnn😋,” Rodman commented.
“Ur everything 🤭❤️,” she continued.
“My forever obsession,” Ben Shelton’s girlfriend added.
Rodman also shared Shelton’s post on her Instagram story.
“Best view I’ve ever seen,” Rodman captioned her Instagram story.
Ben Shelton to Next Compete at Italian Open 2025
Following the conclusion of his campaign at the 2025 Madrid Open, Shelton is set to compete at the Italian Open, which kicked off on May 6, 2025.
Shelton is seeded 12th in the tournament, and he will begin his run in the second round after receiving a bye in the first round. His opening match will be against either qualifier Tomás Barrios Vera or Jaume Munar.
Shelton has faced Munar twice on the ATP Tour, with each player securing a victory. Their most recent encounter was in the second round of the 2025 Dallas Open, where the Spaniard emerged victorious with a score of 6-2, 7-6(3).
On the other hand, Shelton has never played against Barrios Vera on the ATP Tour, and their potential clash at the Italian Open will mark the first time these two players meet on the court.
At last year’s event, Ben Shelton triumphed over Pavel Kotov with a score of 4-6, 6-3, 6-4 in his opening match, and then he lost 2-6, 4-6 to Zhang Zhizhen in the third round.
