The Buffalo Bills came close to reaching the Super Bowl last season, but their archnemesis, the Kansas City Chiefs, thwarted them once again. In the offseason, they released veteran Von Miller, 36, making the roster younger.
Here are the oldest players currently on Buffalo’s roster. Surprisingly, the top three quarterbacks on the Bills’ depth chart all make the list.
Top 10 Oldest Active Players on the Buffalo Bills Roster
1) DaQuan Jones, defensive tackle | age 33
With the departure of Von Miller and Micah Hyde, Jones now holds the mantle of the Bills’ oldest active player. The defensive tackle arrived in free agency in 2022 and had 2.5 sacks last season.
2) Reid Ferguson, long snapper | age 31
The Bills’ long snapper is the longest tenured player on the team, having joined as an undrafted free agent in 2016.
3) Dion Dawkins, offensive tackle | age 31
Dion Dawkins seems to be getting better with age. He entered the league in 2017 but has been performing at an exceptionally high level in the past half-decade, earning Pro Bowl honors every year since 2021. He is the second-longest tenured Bill after Ferguson.
4) Larry Ogunjobi, defensive tackle | age 30
Larry Ogunjobi signed a one-year contract with the Bills in free agency. The defensive tackle has spent his entire career in the AFC North, playing for the Cleveland Browns, Cincinnati Bengals, and Pittsburgh Steelers.
5) Matt Milano, linebacker | age 30
Matt Milano is the third-longest tenured player on the team. He entered the league in the same draft class as Dawkins and has been the heart and soul of the defense for eight seasons now.
6) Mitchell Trubisky, quarterback | age 30
This is Mitchell Trubisky’s second stint with the Bills. He spent a year in Buffalo after failing to live up to expectations as the 2nd overall pick for the Chicago Bears. He is now the primary backup to starting quarterback Josh Allen.
7) Tre’Davious White, cornerback | age 30
Tre’Davious White was a first-round pick by the Bills, but was cut last season and played for the Los Angeles Rams and Baltimore Ravens. The two-time Pro Bowler is back with the Bills on a one-year contract and has 18 career interceptions.
8) Mike White, quarterback | age 30
Mike White, the fifth-round pick of the Dallas Cowboys in the 2018 NFL Draft, joined the Bills last season after Trubisky was expected to miss a few games. Buffalo then extended him through the 2025 season in January. White started seven games for the New York Jets in 2021 and 2022.
9) Joey Bosa, defensive end | age 29
Joey Bosa was added in free agency to fill the pass-rushing void left after Miller’s departure. Bosa’s skills are unquestioned, but he has missed at least one game every season since 2020 due to injury.
10) Josh Allen, quarterback | age 28
Josh Allen is now aging into one of the team’s veteran leaders. The franchise quarterback enters his eighth season and carries the mantle of reigning NFL MVP. Allen hopes to finally break through and get to the Super Bowl after five consecutive years of divisional playoff or AFC Championship game losses.
