NFL Draft Rumors: Insider Shockingly Reveals Super Bowl Champion Eagles May Target Shedeur Sanders on Day 3

Shedeur Sanders has waited for more than two days to learn his fate. Here's the landing spot that might change everything, according to one insider.

Shedeur Sanders’ 2025 NFL Draft experience has been nothing short of a disaster. Some had floated the possibility that he could slip out of the top 10, but no one predicted Sanders to be in danger of going undrafted. If he isn’t drafted on April 26, that is what will occur.

The Colorado Buffaloes quarterback does have at least one potential outcome that might make it all feel better as a consolation prize at the worst, and winning the lottery at the best.

Tom Pelissero Makes Wild Claim That Would Change 2025 NFL Draft

Speaking during the NFL Draft on the ESPN broadcast via Eagles Nation in a post on X on April 26, NFL insider Tom Pelissero named the Super Bowl champions as a potential landing spot for Sanders.

“Just throwing one out: the Philadelphia Eagles. They want to be a quarterback factory. Howie Roseman likes to draft one every year. They’re comfortable. They’re coming off a Super Bowl win. They’ve got Jalen Hurts. Nobody thinks Shedeur is coming in and challenging for the job. Maybe a team like that could come out of the darkness and stop Shedeur Sanders from sliding any further down,” he said.

The Eagles took Hurts when Carson Wentz was seemingly near his peak. Taking Sanders on Day 3 would be a step in that vein. Pelissero was clear in saying that Sanders’ arrival on Day 3 would not signal a changing of the guard for the Super Bowl champion quarterback.

Pelissero Offers Potential Explanation for Why Sanders Has Slipped

Speaking in the same interview, Pelissero revealed that he spoke with an anonymous general manager who was rubbed the wrong way by something Deion Sanders said about Shedeur.

“I spoke last night with one general manager who is considering taking Shedeur Sanders today. He pointed back all the way to March 2024 and something that Shedeur, his father, Deion Sanders, said on a podcast, Pelissero said.

“Saying that if they are drafted by a team that they don’t want to go to, he’s going to step in and pull an Eli Manning, forcing those players to not actually go to that team and try to get them traded.”

That would be a clear explanation why every team has skipped Shedeur for more than two days of the 2025 NFL Draft. It also would signify that Deion, not the Colorado Buffaloes quarterback, tanked his draft stock.
