Green Bay, a Midwest town known for its football passion and deep history, has stepped up to host the NFL’s marquee offseason event. The Draft Theater, built just outside Lambeau Field, is ready, the prospects are arriving, and the fans are pouring in. But there’s one thing that could still shake things up — Mother Nature.

Green Bay Weather Report for 2025 NFL Draft

According to AccuWeather, the opening night of the NFL Draft should feature partly cloudy skies and a high around 57 degrees. That sounds manageable, but keep in mind that the draft starts at 7 p.m. local time, just as the sun begins to dip. By the time teams are announcing picks deep into the first round, temperatures will have dropped to the upper 40s.

Clouds are expected to roll in as the night progresses, and while there is a slight chance of rain — between 7% and 5% — it would take a stroke of bad luck for fans to actually get wet.

Day 2, which includes Rounds 2 and 3, will likely be less comfortable. Evening temperatures will hover near 43 degrees, but gusty winds will make it feel colder. Steady 15 mph winds, with gusts reaching 24 mph, and 69% humidity will give fans a reminder that it’s still spring in the Midwest. Rain chances dip to just 3%, though, so that’s at least one win.

Saturday brings Day 3 of the draft, and with it the best weather of the weekend. The high could reach close to 60 degrees, though winds will remain a factor, blowing up to 28 mph. Still, compared to Friday, it should feel much more tolerable—at least until the sun goes down. Once it does, temperatures are expected to fall below 40 degrees again, so a coat will still be essential for fans planning to close out the weekend under the lights.

How Weather Could Affect Coverage of the NFL Draft

Fortunately, the main stage and portions of the fan experience areas are at least partially covered. That means the broadcast itself should avoid major disruptions, even if the weather gets a little rowdy. But, like in previous years, not every section of the crowd will be sheltered.

Expect to see fans bundled up in layers, especially during the first two days of the event. Green Bay locals are no strangers to cold weather, but out-of-town fans would be smart to pack more than just team gear and jerseys. By Day 3, some may be brave enough for T-shirts—just don’t forget the jacket for when the sun dips and the wind picks up again.
