Meet Cam Skattebo’s 3 Siblings: Leonard, Danielle, and Kylee

Skattebo was born in Rio Linda, Calif., to Leonard and Becky Skattebo. The Arizona State Sun Devils RB’s father owns a home inspection company and played college football at Colorado State.

He has two sisters, Danielle and Kylee, and a brother, Leonard, who played college football at Bowling Green as a fullback after previously playing linebacker during his high school years.

The Skattebo family has a strong sports tradition. Both Cam’s father and brother played football, just like him, which directly influenced his development as an athlete.

Skattebo’s College Career Overview and Draft Projection

Skattebo’s college career had its ups and downs, but the running back hit his peak in 2024 with a standout season for Arizona State. He racked up 1,711 rushing yards, 24 total touchdowns, and 605 receiving yards — emerging as the Sun Devils’ offensive centerpiece.

Skattebo’s defining moment came in the Peach Bowl against Texas. Despite the loss, he was named the game’s offensive MVP after a jaw-dropping performance: 143 rushing yards, 99 receiving yards, 42 passing yards, two rushing touchdowns, and one passing score.

What stands out most is his versatility. Skattebo punishes defenses in multiple ways, fitting the mold of the hybrid playmakers that NFL teams increasingly value. He may not be the most athletic back in the class, but his ability to maximize every tool in his skill set makes him one of the most intriguing prospects heading into the draft.

In a recent seven-round mock draft from PFSN, Skattebo lands with the Kansas City Chiefs at pick No. 95 in the third round. He’d be an intriguing complement to Isiah Pacheco, who’s coming off a down year affected by injuries and is entering the final season of his rookie deal.

That third-to-early-fourth-round range seems to be the sweet spot for Skattebo. While he’s certainly an intriguing prospect, it’s tough to pinpoint a single elite trait in his game. He profiles more as a gadget weapon than a traditional running back who racks up big plays as a primary ball carrier.

After a successful college football career and with a strong athletic background in his family, Skattebo is a player to watch starting on Day 2 of the draft. He could end up being one of the most underrated picks for whichever franchise decides to take a chance on him.
