The 2025 NFL Draft is underway, and one team will be feeling the pressure a little more than any other.

Dave Robinson’s Hall of Fame Career

Dave Robinson didn’t just win two Super Bowls — he won the first two Super Bowls ever. After winning the last NFL title before the NFL-AFL merger in 1966, Robinson was part of the legendary Packers team that won the first two Super Bowls. Robinson played his entire Packers career alongside fellow Hall of Famer Ray Nitschke before joining the Washington Redskins in 1973.

Nitschke is one of only six players in history to have his jersey number retired by the Green Bay Packers (No. 66, retired in 1983). Not only that, but the team named one of its two practice fields after him. Nitschke spent his entire 15-year career in Green Bay, spanning three decades (1958-1972).

Robinson also joined Nitschke on the Hall of Fame All-1960s team, along with another Hall of Famer, Bart Starr, whose No. 15 jersey was retired by the Packers in 1973. Altogether, the Packers were represented by 13 players on the All-1960s team, including 11 Hall of Famers.

Over his 12-year NFL career, 10 of which were spent in Green Bay, Robinson tallied 133 starts, 28.5 sacks, and 27 interceptions. His impact is easy to see when you glance at his honors. He’s a two-time Super Bowl champion, a Pro Football Hall of Famer, a College Football Hall of Famer, a Green Bay Packers Hall of Famer, and a Gator Bowl MVP and Hall of Famer. He’s also the only player from Moorestown High School in Burlington County, N.J. to have his jersey number retired (No. 89, retired in 2013).

Who Else Will Represent Green Bay at the Draft?

Robinson won’t be the only member of the All-1960s team to represent Green Bay on stage at the draft. Legendary offensive lineman Jerry Kramer, another Pro Football Hall of Famer, will also be announcing a pick. Kramer was a career Packer, starting his career the same year as Nitschke but retiring four years earlier.

Helping NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell open the ceremony on Day 1 will be several members of Green Bay’s Super Bowl 45-winning team: Clay Matthews, Jordy Nelson, James Jones, Mason Crosby, and eight-year Packer Ahman Green.

The event takes place from Thursday, April 24-26, in Green Bay’s Titletown District.
