WATCH: Raiders HC Pete Carroll Surprises College Class With NFL Legend Tom Brady, USC Star JuJu Watkins

Students at USC were in for a rare surprise as the unlikely trio of Pete Carroll, Tom Brady, and JuJu Watkins graced a recent classroom lecture.

Tom Brady, Pete Carroll, and JuJu Watkins might not be a trio of household names that you expect to hear in the same sentence. While Brady and Carroll have shaped the landscape of professional football in recent decades, Watkins is cementing her own path in the world of women’s basketball.

However, a select group of students at her alma mater got to witness all three legends in the same space. It was an extraordinarily surreal moment that caught fans’ attention everywhere and instantly went viral on social media.

Pete Carroll, JuJu Watkins, Tom Brady Attend Lectures in USC Classroom

Carroll is one of the most influential coaches of this century. The 73-year-old earned his stripes at the NFL and the collegiate level, winning two national championships at USC and a Super Bowl title for the Seattle Seahawks.

Carroll, perhaps lesser known, is also a master lecturer and continues to shape his legacy by teaching at USC. He has been serving a weekly stint as a guest professor at the school, instructing students on his “Win Forever” philosophy.

Recently, Watkins attended one of Carroll’s classes via video call due to her busy travel schedule. The 19-year-old women’s basketball star for the USC Trojans shared a clip of her experience on social media. In it, there is a special guest cameo from none other than Tom Brady.

That’s right. Carroll brought out his new boss and the greatest quarterback in NFL history. Brady is a minority owner of the Las Vegas Raiders. Carroll was hired to be the next head coach for the franchise. The students in attendance received a special treat with three of the biggest names in the sports world, all at their disposal.

Some shot the scene on camera and uploaded it on X with the caption: “Only At USC Can You Have [Two GOATS in emoji form] on Zoom!!”

For all three of those individuals, 2025 is shaping up to be a pivotal year. Carroll and Brady are taking over a proud Raiders’ franchise following several disappointing years of inconsistency and subpar performances.

So far, so good. Their offseason moves have drawn them a ton of praise. But the product on the field needs to match their offseason hype, which includes adding a standout quarterback in Geno Smith as well as holding the No. 6 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.

On the other hand, Watkins suffered a tragedy near the end of the 2024-25 collegiate year. She went down with an ACL injury in her right knee during the second round of the NCAA Tournament that ended her sophomore season. Watkins asked Brady for advice on how to come back from an ACL injury.

As one of the most illustrious women in college basketball history already, Watkins will have a chance to return and, hopefully, re-cement her place at the top of the competition later in the year.
