Shannon Sharpe Could Earn a $100 Million Podcast Deal
While Sharpe was already quite popular as a player, he broke out as an FS1 analyst with Skip Bayless on Undisputed. However, after the end of his contract with the network, Sharpe’s popularity saw an unprecedented rise starting with his partnership with The Volume in August 2023. It has only kept growing with Club Shay Shay, which now has nearly 4 million subscribers on YouTube and has also turned into a network featuring multiple shows.
The other shows on the network include Nightcap, which Sharpe hosts with fellow NFL great Chad Johnson and Jeff Teague’s Club 520 Podcast, The Bubba Dub Show, and Humble Baddies.
After his contract with The Volume podcast network ended, Front Office Sports reported that Sharpe had received multiple new offers and could earn north of $100 million in the new deal. However, the deal would encompass the whole of the Shya Shay Network instead of Sharpe only.

The amount would nearly double Sharpe’s NFL career earnings, which are $22,328,500, per Spotrac. His highest-paying year was 2000, when he made $5 million with the Baltimore Ravens.
Sharpe spent only one more season with the Ravens, who were the only NFL team he played for, in addition to the Denver Broncos. With the Ravens, he tallied 140 receptions for 1622 yards and seven touchdowns and 300+ yards and two touchdowns in postseason as well.
Sharpe had a 40-touchdown collegiate career at Savannah State but was picked 192nd overall by the Broncos in the 1990 draft. He played 10 straight seasons in Denver, leading them to two Super Bowl titles before winning his third with the Ravens.
Sharpe returned to Denver following the two-year stint in Baltimore. He played two more seasons for Denver before announcing his retirement. He finished with 55 touchdowns for Denver while posting six 800+ receiving yards seasons, including three 1,000+.
Following his retirement, Sharpe has continued to entertain his fans with his humor, knowledge, and passion for the game. He started his broadcasting career with the CBS Sports pregame show The NFL Today and remained with the network for a decade.
Two years after being released by CBS Sports, Sharpe joined hands with Bayless for FS1’s Undisputed, which ultimately resulted in his rise. He split with the sports debate show in 2023, and while he had started the Club Shay Shay early in 2021, it broke out last year with his podcast with Katt Williams reaching 89+ million views.
