Mason Taylor is looking to make the jump from the college level to the pros during the 2025 NFL Draft process. He’s considered a solid prospect, so the odds look good. However, most prospects have a support system. So, who does Taylor have in his corner?
Is Mason Taylor Dating Anyone in 2025?
According to Sportskeeda, the LSU Tigers tight end is dating Sage Wagner, who attended the University of Central Florida. Wagner has also worked as a swim instructor and summer camp counselor, so it’s safe to say that she seems to have a strong interest in teaching.
Taylor’s Dating History
Taylor and Wagner have been dating since 2021, and the couple will mark their fourth anniversary at some point in 2025.
It doesn’t appear that Taylor had any serious relationships before Wagner. At just 20 years old, he’s been with her since he was about 15 or 16.
Taylor’s NFL Draft Projection for 2025
Taylor is seen as a quality tight end prospect, but in a deep class of college stars, where does he land? According to PFSN’s mock draft from April 4, Taylor is projected to go on Day 2 of the draft in the second round. PFSN analyst Justin Lewis has him going to the Seattle Seahawks at No. 52 overall.
Noah Fant has held down the position since the Russell Wilson trade in 2022, but that chapter may soon be coming to a close. Should Seattle draft Taylor as projected, he and Fant would likely compete for the starting job in training camp.
Regardless of who wins the Week 1 role, the Seahawks’ offense would likely benefit and they need the help. The unit is in the middle of a major rebuild with Geno Smith out, Sam Darnold in, and wide receiver DK Metcalf now gone.
Based off of last season’s analysis, the Seahawks rank 20th in PFSN’s Offense+ metric. Adding Taylor certainly wouldn’t fix everything, but it could be one of the final key moves to round out the 2025 roster.
While playing for the Tigers, the tight end had an up-and-down college career. As a freshman, he posted 414 yards and three touchdowns on 38 catches. He regressed some in 2023, totaling 36 receptions for 348 yards and one touchdown, although that did come in two fewer games.
Taylor bounced back, though, in 2024 with his best college season — 55 receptions for 546 yards and two scores.
It set the stage for his run at the NFL. Will he top those numbers in his rookie year?
