Eli Manning is the last product of the Manning family dynasty to make it to the NFL, at least until Arch Manning takes up that mantle. A New York Giants lifer, he spent 16 seasons with the organization and delivered some of the most iconic moments in franchise history.
Possibly the greatest player in Giants history and unquestionably the greatest quarterback, Manning led his squad to two upset victories over Tom Brady and the New England Patriots. Since retiring in 2019, he’s branched out in numerous directions, steadily building a remarkable portfolio of business ventures.
Eli Manning’s Investments
NJ/NY Gotham FC
One of the founding members of the NWSL in 2013, the NJ/NY Gotham FC was known as Jersey Sky Blue before a name change in 2020. Nearly two years later, Eli Manning joined the ownership group with a heartwarming joining statement.
“This league and this team practice 15 minutes away from my house, they play games right here in New Jersey,” he said to the New York Post. “It’s a way to get involved and find role models for my girls. You put them in different things, and you want them to find things that they’re passionate about.”
In the year since, the investment has given him plenty to be happy about. After finishing 12th with an 8-11-5 record in 2022, the team bounced into the sixth spot as an 8-7-7 squad. However, a remarkable underdog story through the playoffs led to a surprise Championship for Gotham FC.
Last year, they fared infinitely better in the regular season. A 17-5-4 record became the backdrop for another deep playoff run as they were knocked out in the semi-finals while finishing as runners-up in both the Challenge and Summer Cups.
Manning’s Other Investments
Brand Velocity Partners
His first foray outside of broadcasting, once his playing career came to an end, was into the world of private equity. Joining Brand Velocity Partners as a full-fledged partner, Manning revealed his interest in the field.
“I was always interested in business. I’ve looked at venture, but I think with private equity and teaming up with BVP. I just liked the core values of the company and how once they acquire a company, they just like to grow it through marketing, execution, and put some investment back in employees,” Manning told CNBC.
Other Investments and Endorsements
But for someone as popular and naturally charismatic as Manning, the endorsements and investments didn’t stop there. Over the course of his playing career and time off the field since, he has been involved with a plethora of other organizations.
Those include Quaker Oats, Investors Bancorp, Nike, Hublot, Toyota, Visa, DirecTV, Frank’s Red Hot Sauce, and Gatorade, just to name a few. Simultaneously, he has been one of the titular men for Omaha Productions’ “ManningCast,” an alternate viewing experience for fans tuning into Monday Night Football.
Featuring the two Manning brothers, Peyton and Eli, it allows the two to break down and analyze the ongoing games while also bringing on illustrious guests like former President Barack Obama, Patrick Mahomes, and even Bill Belichick.
