‘You Trying To Go Viral?’ – Deion Sanders Reveals Only Scenario He Would Make Jump From Coaching College Football to NFL

There is a slim possibility Deion Sanders, aka Coach Prime, could leave the University of Colorado for the greener pastures of the NFL.

Colorado Buffaloes head coach Deion Sanders said Wednesday he would be willing to leave the university and jump to the NFL under only one condition. He has to be able to coach both of his sons, quarterback Shedeur Sanders and safety Shilo Sanders.

Coach Prime Would Leave Colorado To Coach His Sons

Coach Prime has made his mark at Colorado, taking them from a one-win team in 2022 to a bowl game in 2024. He has developed talent and takes care of his players. He is worth a lot of money to the University of Colorado and to the City of Boulder.

What would happen if Coach Prime packed up and ran to the NFL with his children?

Prime said the only way he would leave for the NFL is if he could be the coach to both of his sons.

If Coach Prime left Colorado, the student body would be in mourning. That is how much Prime is revered in Boulder. He has generated more money for the city and the University than it has seen in years. He has his own clothing line in the campus bookstore, and they can’t keep the merchandise in stock during football season.

Shedeur could very well be the first pick of the entire draft in the spring. He and Miami’s Cam Ward are considered the top two quarterbacks in the draft.

Shedeur will more than likely either go to the Tennessee Titans with the first pick or to the Cleveland Browns with the second pick. Unless he has horrible workouts, the NFL is too starved for QB play for the top-rated signal-caller to fall too far.

Shilo is a safety (and a project). He had a good career at Colorado, but was also overshadowed by Heisman Trophy winner Travis Hunter, who roamed the other side of the defensive backfield.

Shilo will likely be a Day 3 pick because of his speed and ability to close on the ball. Having Coach Prime as your father cannot hurt, either.
