Patrick Mahomes may have been locked into “Monday Night Football,” but that didn’t stop him from sending a sweet message to his daughter, Sterling Skye Mahomes, during his interview with ESPN.
As the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback wrapped up his segment, he shouted to his three-year-old, saying, “Hey, Sterling, go to bed!”

However, that bedtime cue had an unexpected twist. Brittany Mahomes, Patrick’s wife, took to Instagram shortly after, hilariously revealing that Sterling didn’t heed her dad’s advice. Instead, the little one got “the zoomies” after seeing her father on TV, an adorable moment that made fans love the Mahomes family even more.
“She in fact got the zoomies after she saw this.”
The Mahomes household has plenty of reasons to celebrate lately. Apart from Sterling, the couple has a 22-month-old son, Patrick “Bronze” Lavon Mahomes III, and are expecting a third child soon.
Fans have seen Sterling regularly cheering on her dad, including at the Chiefs’ season opener, where she was spotted on the sidelines. However, she wasn’t present at Arrowhead on Monday.
