Welcome to the Week 1 kickoff and the start of the fantasy football season. With minimal data available, we will try to make the best start/sit decisions and roster moves from the offseason/coach speak. Pay attention to injuries, and make sure you keep your lineup flexible when setting to cover your risk and maximize results.
Every league is different — especially in the IDP world. These rankings are based on our fantasy scoring to help you adjust to your league while acknowledging that there will be some variations across different platforms. It doesn’t account for position requirements and is more along the lines of IDP Flex rankings for 2024 Week 1!

Best IDP Players To Start in Week 1
Alex Singleton, LB, Denver Broncos
If you’ve played IDP for any amount of time, you’re likely familiar with Alex Singleton. All he does is post strong tackle numbers when given playing time, and that’s exactly what the staff did all last year.
That will continue in 2024 as well, as Denver hasn’t added much in the way of competition. In fact, rather than playing next to a strong LB like Josey Jewell, they replaced him with Cody Barton, who’s probably less competition for tackles.
Singleton gets his full-time role again, and against a Seattle team that’ll want to run the ball quite a bit with a weaker interior OL, expect a strong double-digit tackle performance.
Maxx Crosby, DE, Las Vegas Raiders
Speaking of starting strong, let’s talk about top pass rusher Maxx Crosby. Crosby was elite again in 2023, posting 14.5 sacks and 90 tackles, both career highs. He battled through injuries in 2023 and a weak supporting class of DL next to him. While the health is subjective over the year, he’s good to go now.
Vegas’ supporting cast is also much improved. Malcolm Koonce took a leap last year to become a viable second rusher. Tyree Wilson is young and might be able to break out in 2024.
The Raiders also spent up on Christian Wilkins to play DT next to Crosby. Add in a rookie OT on the Chargers, and it’s a recipe for a strong game (and season) for Crosby in 2024.
