Patriots vs. Commanders Game Preview

No starters will play for the Commanders, and with Marcus Mariota out with an injury, Jeff Driskel will be starting most of the way once again. The Patriots, on the other hand, will play their starters and Jacoby Brissett.

The key to Brissett playing is the Patriots’ quarterback competition. Once Brissett leaves the game, No. 3 pick Drake Maye will get in and have his chance to try and earn the job. Joe Milton III and Bailey Zappe will follow those two.

Some players to watch for the Patriots are wide receivers Kayshon Boutte and Javon Baker. A rookie, Baker has shined through practices and caught just a couple of passes in preseason. Boutte, on the other hand, had three receptions for 53 yards against the Panthers to start the preseason.

For the Commanders, running back Michael Wiley has flashed. Against the Jets, he had eight attempts for 34 yards and one touchdown. Wiley also caught three passes for 31 yards against the Dolphins. Rookie tight end Ben Sinnott is also one to watch, catching three passes for 57 yards against the Jets.
