This 2025 NFL Mock Draft shows how the New England Patriots might be able to add to Drake Maye’s supporting cast in the coming cycle.
Help is still needed at wide receiver and on the offensive line, and there’s talent to dip into in 2025.
Who Could the New England Patriots Select in the 2025 NFL Draft?
Note: The draft order for the 2025 NFL Mock Draft was derived from my record and playoff predictions for the 2024 NFL regular season.
11) New England Patriots: Tetairoa McMillan, WR, Arizona
Drake Maye will benefit from having Ja’Lynn Polk and Javon Baker, but there’s still a need for a bonafide WR1 in that offense. Arizona’s Tetairoa McMillan can solve that problem.
McMillan has the size and athleticism of a WR1, and neither he nor Polk is lacking in catch-point composure — something Maye can use with his tight-window throws.
2.43) New England Patriots: Josh Conerly Jr., OT, Oregon
Josh Conerly Jr. can help the Patriots make still-needed improvements on the offensive line.
Though he’s not as big at just 305 pounds, Conerly is an incredibly explosive and rangy run blocker with great leverage, balance, and hands in pass protection.
3.75) New England Patriots: Fadil Diggs, EDGE, Syracuse
Especially after Matt Judon’s trade, EDGE is an area of need for New England. At 6’5″, 260 pounds, Fadil Diggs has the burst, bend, and motor to resupply their talent core.
3.83) New England Patriots (via ATL): Cobee Bryant, CB, Kansas
With the pick acquired in the Judon trade, the Patriots add a speed demon and a ball-hawk at CB in Cobee Bryant, who can feast off targets funneled his way.
Rounds 4-7
4.108) Kaimon Rucker, EDGE, North Carolina
5.140) Jaylin Lucas, RB, Florida State
7.199) Elijah Roberts, DL, SMU
7.203) Kyle Morlock, TE, Florida State
7.204) Jalen Travis, OT, Iowa State
Patriots 2025 NFL Mock Draft Analysis
Any Patriots 2025 NFL Mock Draft should start with this question in mind: How can we support Drake Maye? Because the defense, for the most part, is on solid ground. The offense is the area that still needs more help, and a rookie QB magnifies that need.
In this 2025 NFL Mock Draft, New England kicks off their class with two strong selections in Tetairoa McMillan and Josh Conerly Jr.
McMillan, Polk, and Pop Douglas form a strong WR trio, and a line of Conerly, Sidy Sow, David Edwards, Mike Onwenu, and 2024 third-round pick Caedan Wallace has merit, too.
In the wake of the Matt Judon trade, EDGE had to be another area of emphasis. Diggs is a high-upside addition with all of the necessary tools, and Rucker is simply too good of a schematic fit to pass up in Round 4. Rucker, in particular, profiles as an excellent replacement for Josh Uche if Uche leaves.
Rounding out Day 3, Jaylin Lucas is a sparkplug at RB with big-time return ability.
Elijah Roberts is a power plant with the length and grating strength to potentially take the Deatrich Wise role.
Kyle Morlock is a gliding athlete with size at TE, and Jalen Travis improves the OT depth.
