Training camp is full of twists and turns as NFL teams determine who will make the final 53-man roster. With the NFL preseason already underway after the Hall of Fame Game between the Chicago Bears and Houston Texans, are there any NFL games today? Are There Any NFL Games Today?
While the Bears and Texans started the NFL preseason off on August 1, fans of the other 30 teams will have to wait a little bit longer, as there are no NFL games today.
A byproduct of extending the regular season by one week, the preseason consists of just three exhibition games now. However, the teams who play in the Hall of Fame Game have four preseason contests.

NFL Week 1 Preseason Schedule
Week 1 of the NFL preseason kicks off with a Thursday doubleheader: The Carolina Panthers head to Gillette Stadium to take on the New England Patriots, and the Detriot Lions travel to MetLife Stadium to face off against the New York Giants at 7 p.m. ET. While Carolina and New England will be available on NFL Network, Detroit and New York will be carried by local channels.
