QB Jordan Love and the Packers’ offense had a rough outing against the Lions a week ago. After a very impressive start to the season, Love had his worst performance yet, throwing two interceptions and getting sacked five times.
Detroit has built a ferocious front seven, which the Packers withstood for four quarters on Thursday Night Football, but they should get a break this week.
The Raiders’ defense has not done the franchise any favors this season, as the offense continues to deal with injuries. They’ve struggled against competent offenses this season in losses to the Buffalo Bills and Chargers. Could Love be in for a rebound game this week?
In their two road games this season, Love has a passer rating of 118.8, the second-best among QBs. The Raiders have allowed opposing QBs to a passer rating of 108.5 at home this season, the fourth worst in the NFL. Love also has the fifth most touchdown passes this season with eight, while the Raiders have allowed the same amount, the fourth-most in the league.
Not only should Love find a rhythm this week, but the Packers’ rushing attack should also excel this week. Green Bay has run successful plays on 46.8% of rush attempts since Week 15 of the 2022 season, the fifth best.
Meanwhile, the Raiders have allowed successful plays on 48% of rush attempts in that time, the worst in the league. If there was a game for RBs Aaron Jones and AJ Dillon to get going, it’s tonight.
