New York Jets defensive lineman Quinnen Williams was injured in the first half of their Week 3 matchup against the New England Patriots. Here’s the latest on what we know.
Quinnen Williams Injury Update
Williams left the field with trainers and was hanging his shoulder. He then went to the medical tent.
The defensive tackle left the game to be examined after a first down from Patriots wide receiver Demario Douglas. On the next play, Mac Jones found tight end Pharoah for a 58-touchdown to run up the score on the Jets.
Shortly after, Williams was back on the bench after being in the medical tent for a few minutes. He was able to return to the game.
#Jets DT Quinnen Williams back on the bench after being in the medical tent for a few minutes. That’s the extent of the good news I have for the rain-soaked, booing, teeth-falling-out fans here.

The Jets dodged a bullet as the fifth-year defensive tackle and 2019 third overall pick is a key piece to the Jets defense. Coming off an All-Pro 2022 season, Williams has 11 tackles, six pressures and one quarterback hit so far this season.
Although Williams returned to the field, the Jets remain in a 10-3 deficit at the end of the first half. The Jets will need to see a more effective performance from Zach Wilson, who is 5-of-10 for 25 yards and has been sacked twice. Mac Jones has been much more effective at 9-of-18 for 142 yards and a touchdown.
