Odell Beckham Jr. is preparing to embark on his career with the Baltimore Ravens, and the vibes have been tremendous so far. The Ravens added Beckham Jr. to the injury report on Thursday with an ankle injury.
The Ravens’ dynamic receiver was limited in Thursday’s practice, and nothing has been reported so far to indicate the injury is serious or will cost him any time on the football field.
What Can We Expect From Beckham Jr. in 2023?
Beckham Jr. was the most electric player in the NFL years ago. He struck fear in the hearts of the opposition, and teams had to game plan for him every week.

Injuries have caught up with Beckham as his career has gone along, and he is no longer the player he once was. Some have called OBJ “washed,” but the last time we saw him consistently on the football field, he was a factor in the Rams’ Super Bowl victory.
Expect Beckham to be a reliable pass-catching option for Lamar Jackson. I wouldn’t expect OBJ to be a field stretcher, but that role is designed for other playmakers on the team.
What Can We Expect From the Ravens Offense in 2023?
We have become accustomed to a Ravens offense focused on the running game, featuring the abilities of Jackson in the open field. Don’t expect Jackson’s rushing ability to go away any time soon, but do expect the Ravens offense to evolve in 2023.

The Ravens brought in offensive coordinator Todd Monken for a reason. Monken operates a pass-happy offense designed to spread the ball to receivers and tight ends alike. The Ravens have surrounded Jackson with more playmakers than he has had his entire NFL career.
Monken led the Georgia Bulldogs offense that made stars out of TE Brock Bowers and TE Darnell Washington. Expect Mark Andrews to be featured extensively. Andrews is one of the top TEs in football, and the connection between Jackson and Andrews is apparent. Don’t sleep on Isaiah Likely, either, who could have a significant role.
The Ravens prioritized acquiring offensive weapons in the 2023 NFL Draft when they selected WR Zay Flowers out of Boston College. By all accounts, Flowers has lit it up so far and has quickly developed a rapport with Jackson.
Flowers will stretch the field, providing additional space for Andrews, Rashod Bateman, and Beckham to operate.
