Bijan Robinson is one of the most exciting players in the NFL heading into the 2023 season. The rookie running back from the University of Texas gave us a glimpse into his future during his first preseason action last week.
Robinson was selected at No. 8 overall in the 2023 NFL Draft, and with lofty draft capital comes high expectations. Robinson is the bell-cow back for the Atlanta Falcons, capable of carrying the workload as a runner, receiver, and pass protector.
As the Falcons approach their final dress rehearsal for the upcoming season, will Robinson play?
Is Bijan Robinson Playing Tonight?
Robinson suiting up for the Falcons in their final preseason game would be shocking. The preseason finale is a time set for backups and final roster decisions, not your star back that you spent a premium draft pick on.

The official starters have not yet been announced, but I wouldn’t anticipate Robinson playing against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
What To Expect From Atlanta During Preseason Week 3?
I wouldn’t expect to see any of the starters. Expect third-stringers to carry out a conservative offensive strategy. Arthur Smith and the Falcons’ coaching staff’s ultimate goal is to get out of this game without injury.

What To Expect From Bijan Robinson in 2023?
There’s a reason why the Falcons used a top-10 selection in the draft on Robinson. Atlanta’s offense centers around establishing the run and wearing out the opposition up front. Expect them to run the ball as much as any team in the NFL this season.

Robinson is an exceptional football player who can dominate the game in several ways. His elusiveness and tackle-breaking ability are some of the best we’ve seen enter the league. He’s a game-breaker with the ability to score on any carry.
Robinson is as effective spread out in the offensive formation as a receiver. He’s more than a running back and is a mismatch nightmare for the opposition.

The Falcons continue to add playmakers to this roster, boasting third-year tight end Kyle Pitts, second-year wide receiver Drake London, and now Robinson.
Yet, even though Atlanta has weapons on the outside, the Falcons will remain committed to the running game. It’s who they are.
Robinson will touch the ball 300+ times for the Falcons in 2023 and remain one of the frontrunners for NFL Rookie of the Year.
