The Jaguars traded up from the second round to go and grab their replacement for Myles Jack. Lloyd will now head to Jacksonville to anchor the middle of the Jaguars’ defense.

Strengths
- Easily changes direction, displays speed in lateral pursuit, and is fast to the flanks
- Shows himself to be a forceful pass rusher and gets vertical to knock the ball away when he cannot get to the quarterback
- Instinctive, quickly diagnoses plays, and stays with assignments
Areas for improvement
- Not smooth transitioning into coverage
- Haphazard in his movement and can be all over the place
- Can be somewhat tentative when clamping down on gaps
How does Lloyd project in the Jaguars’ depth chart?
After the Jaguars released Myles Jack, they were always going to need to look at the linebacker position. Trading up to get him was an intriguing decision but Lloyd is a potential starter, which makes the move more worthwhile. He has a real chance to displace Shaquille Quarterman as a starter next to Foyesade Oluokun.
