Week 17 Kicker Streamers

Here are a few kickers to consider streaming in your Week 17 lineups. As the conditions begin to change with winter coming, note whether games are indoors or which might be subject to inclement weather when choosing kickers for the upcoming week.

Evan McPherson, Cincinnati Bengals

Cincinnati’s offense is rolling, and Evan McPherson is benefiting from their dynamic passing game. In their 41-21 win on Sunday, McPherson hit 2 of his 3 field-goal attempts, with his lone miss coming from beyond 50 yards, which has actually been an area he has thrived this year. McPherson also converted on all 5 of his extra-point attempts.

McPherson is 26-for-31 in his rookie season, including 9-of-11 from 50-plus yards while converting 95.5% of his extra points (42-of-44). I expect to see another high-scoring game as Cincinnati takes on the Chiefs, pushing McPherson into the top-12 for Week 17.

Dustin Hopkins, Los Angeles Chargers

When Brandon Staley decides to let Dustin Hopkins kick rather than reading off his spreadsheet, the veteran kicker is pretty good. Hopkins scored 12 fantasy points in Week 16 while converting all 3 of his FGs, including one from 50 yards to get the scoring started. He also made all 3 of his extra points. He could have had two more XPs, but the Chargers attempted two 2-point conversions.

Since joining Los Angeles in Week 8, he has made 15 of 16 FGs and 23 of 25 extra points. The Chargers are an offense that can hang 35+ points at any time, especially now that Austin Ekeler has been activated off the reserve/COVID-19 list.

Ryan Succop, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Even with a mix-and-match group of skill players, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers still came out and had success, scoring 32 points against the Panthers. Ryan Succop was active as well, which is a bit of a rarity given Tampa Bay’s propensity to find the end zone has limited his opportunities this season. However, in Week 16, he made all 4 of his field goals and both of his extra points.

Succop leads the NFL in extra-points attempts with 52 and has made 94.2% (49). He’s also hit on 21 of 25 field goals this season and benefits from one of the best offenses in the NFL. He has top-five K upside despite being available in over half of fantasy leagues.
