Which odds offer potential value in 2021?

As we look down the list of current MVP odds, which players stand out as being particularly intriguing heading into Week 7?

Lamar Jackson, Baltimore Ravens | +1300

Jackson is having a superb year through six games. Well known for his running prowess, Jackson has also taken strides in the passing game. His 67.5% completion rate is the highest of his career, and he is throwing for over 75 more yards per game than he did in his MVP season in 2019. On top of that, Jackson already has three fourth-quarter comebacks and game-winning drives.

Additionally, Jackson is doing all of that while getting sacked at a career-high 7.6% rate. His success is highlighted by ranking as the sixth-most valuable quarterback within his environment, according to Pro Football Network’s Offensive Value Metric.

Joe Burrow, Cincinnati Bengals | +15000

Burrow appears to be incredibly undervalued right now. According to OVM, he has been the fourth-most valuable QB within his environment in 2021. His touchdown rate is an impressive 8%, and he is completing over 70% of his passes while throwing for close to 9 yards per attempt.

The key is to look where these odds could go after the upcoming week. If Burrow and the Bengals can beat the Ravens this week, then his odds could fall down to the levels of the other QBs. If his odds rise after this week, they may never sink back close to his current level.
