‘Dude Is the Worst’ — CFB Fans Rip Lane Kiffin After It’s Revealed Nick Saban Was Worried About Him Dating College Girls at Alabama

Lane Kiffin continues to be a trending topic in the college football world as some old skeletons from his time at Alabama come to the light.

LSU fans look away.

Lane Kiffin continues to be a trending topic in college football ahead of Week 1’s start, but for all the wrong reasons.

Still awaiting Thursday’s court hearing between LSU and the SEC over whether players who were signed by the NFL can return to college football, Kiffin was put on blast by a former college football coach for something dating back to their time at Alabama together.

Lane Kiffin Faces Heat After New Revelation

Now it’s certainly no secret that the now LSU head coach was the prominent rebel child under Nick Saban’s coaching tree, but what the former Crimson Tide head coach had to say about Kiffin just may shock some fans.

“You’ve got to keep Lane away from the girls that are in college,” Saban said, according to a former college coach. “Just keep him away from the sorority girls. Make sure they’ve graduated from college or are working a job.”

Published by John Talty of Vanity Fair, several excerpts from Kiffin’s past just may come back to haunt him as viewers immediately took to their X accounts to voice their opinions on the article.

On3’s Justin Hokanson chimed in, stating, “Many of us know these stories and more. He is who he is.”

“This has followed him everywhere he’s gone, and I feel like the more pressure and scrutiny he’s under, the larger this specter will grow,” said The Ringer’s Diante Lee.

“Unbelievable piece on Lane Kiffin here. What a character,” as an X user shared a piece of the article.

“This dude has some serious skeletons,” stated a college football fan.

“Dude is the worst lol,” said a Tennessee Volunteers fan account.

“As an Alabama sorority girl during the Kiffin era thank you for bringing this across my desk my friend,” replied Alabama alum and journalist Olivia Whitmire.

“Seems like the kind of person you want in a leadership position at a large university,” noted one user sarcastically.

In the same Vanity piece, Talty revealed the difficulties faced by Kiffin while he was at Alabama.

“As one friend of Kiffin’s during that time put it, he was afraid Kiffin was going to ‘drink himself to death,'” Talty wrote. “He was lonely without his family, and he was facing intense pressure working for a man he couldn’t understand. The stress was almost unbearable at times, and he looked for relief around town. With that came guilt and further strain from his family over his actions.”
