‘Is There Anything You Won’t Lie About?’ — NFL Fans Mock Clay Travis’s Audacity For Backpedalling on Will Levis as QB Gets Cut By Titans

NFL fans call out Clay Travis after old posts praising Will Levis resurface following the Titans’ decision to release the quarterback.

Social media has a long memory, and Clay Travis found that out after the Tennessee Titans released Will Levis.

Levis, a former 2023 second-round pick, struggled to find consistency during his time in Tennessee. After an injury-hit 2025 season, he fell behind No. 1 overall pick Cam Ward on the depth chart, with the Titans eventually deciding to move on over the weekend.

Travis celebrated the decision by suggesting he had seen the problems with Levis from the start. Fans, however, quickly pulled up the receipts that told a very different story.

NFL Fans Roast Clay Travis Over Will Levis

After the Titans released Levis, Travis claimed he had seen the quarterback’s struggles coming, writing, “Anyone who watched college football knew he was a bad top pick. Nailed this one.”

He backed up that claim by reposting a comment from April 2023 in which he joked about Tennessee drafting Levis and admitted he might later edit the post if the quarterback turned out to be great.

That post was not the only one fans found. They also uncovered another older comment in which Travis called Levis a “future first-ballot Hall of Famer.”

The conflicting opinions quickly became the focus of the backlash, with fans accusing Travis of changing his narrative based on how Levis’ career played out.

One fan accused Travis of repeatedly changing his position and avoiding accountability, writing, “You constantly contradict yourself and act like you didn’t say things you said and never admit you were wrong.”

Another fan simply shared a screenshot of the old post and asked, “Lmao this you?”

Alex Rodriguez was much harsher, writing, “Is there anything you won’t lie about, [expletive]?”

One commenter joked about Travis failing to remove his old posts, saying, “Brother forgot to delete them tweets.”

Robbie Chops also mocked his previous praise of Levis, writing, “Bro, you glazed this dude like a Dunkin Donut. Don’t backpedal now.”

The exchange is another example of how quickly old social media posts can resurface when a prediction or opinion does not age well.

Travis may have had doubts about Levis when the Titans drafted him, but his later praise of the quarterback made his latest victory lap much harder to sell.

In the end, the Titans’ decision to move on from Levis became a debate about more than just the quarterback. It also turned into another reminder that on social media, old opinions are never buried too deep.
