Shilo believes his brother’s opportunity will come when the time is right. “It’s a long season. Shedeur’s time will come eventually, whether it’s this year or next year, it doesn’t matter. We never pray on nobody’s downfall, and we wish the best for everybody.
“You’re never going to succeed if you have bad intentions in your heart and your mind, and if you wish bad on somebody else. No matter what the situation is, that’s not how you succeed,” Shilo said.
Shilo’s message was clear: Shedeur does not need Watson to fail to eventually earn his opportunity.
For now, Shedeur will have to remain patient and continue developing while Watson gets the chance to prove he can still lead the Browns.

Watson enters Week 1 under significant pressure. Beyond the competition with Sanders, he needs to rebuild his relationship with the Browns fanbase, which has grown increasingly frustrated.
After the backlash over his comments following the Buffalo game, Watson acknowledged that his emotions got the better of him.
“I thought I was going to get a little different response. My emotions got the best of me. My comments weren’t intended to go at any of the fans around in the city. Because there have been a lot of great fans that have been supporting me,” Watson said.
The apology may serve as a band-aid, but Watson ultimately needs to produce on the field.
If he can play at a high level, the conversation around Sanders could quiet down. But another poor performance could quickly put Shedeur back at the center of the Browns’ quarterback discussion.
