‘Wanna Feel Old?’ ‘This Is Crazy’ — Sports World Reacts to Lil Wayne’s Son Dwayne Carter Playing High School Football

Grammy Award-winning rapper Lil Wayne has been served up several nicknames over the years. One he often goes by is “Weezy F. Baby.”

Well, it turns out Lil Wayne, otherwise known as Dwayne Carter, did have a baby, and he’s almost all grown up. What does this have to do with college football? Well, fans of the Louisiana rapper may get a chance to see his son play ball next fall.

Lil Wayne’s Son Emerges as High School Kicker

It turns out, Lil Wayne has four children. One of them is named Dwayne Carter III, and he plays high school football for Gainesville out of Georgia.

This week, the Rivals account posted a clip of Carter drilling 26- and 35-yard field goals against Buford. It didn’t take long for social media to catch on.

While Carter is still a senior in high school, he reportedly has an offer on the table from Colorado, where he’d get to play for Deion Sanders.

“This is crazy. He’s a senior and Colorado has given him a scholarship lmao,” one fan noted.

For now, he’s generating a lot of interest online.

Yet, one commenter who paid real close attention to Carter’s kicks suggested he “couldn’t make a 45-yarder.”

Meanwhile, others can’t help but feel old, considering there was a time when Lil Wayne was viewed as the new kid on the block as one of the “Hot Boyz,” but of course, that was back in 1997.

Still, it’s crazy to think one of his kids could soon be playing college football, possibly even at Colorado.
