‘It’s Ridiculous’ – Enes Kanter Accused Of Trying to ‘Belittle’ Women After Declaring For WNBA Draft As a Trans Athlete

Rachel Lindsay slammed Enes Kanter for his WNBA draft stunt, accusing him of 'belittling' women to chase attention after his NBA career.

Media personality Rachel Lindsay didn’t hold back as she called out former NBA center Enes Kanter over his recent WNBA draft stunt.

Lindsay slammed his announcement as a ‘desperate, attention-seeking’ bid to stay relevant after his basketball career, accusing him of ‘belittling’ female athletes along the way.

Rachel Lindsay Calls Out Enes Kanter Over WNBA Draft Stunt and Attention-Seeking Behavior

Former NBA center Kanter has spent recent weeks turning the WNBA’s gender debate into his own social media circus.

After Sophie Cunningham’s comments about wanting to keep biological males out of women’s sports, Kanter made headlines by declaring his intent to enter the 2027 WNBA draft. He claimed he was simply testing the league’s official rules.

But to most, the announcement came across as an attempt to chase clout years after his professional career ended.

This stunt also didn’t sit well with media personality Rachel Lindsay. Speaking on her Higher Learning podcast alongside co-host Van Lathan, Lindsay didn’t hold back when addressing the former Boston Celtics star’s antics.

Calling out his sudden crusade, Lindsay highlighted that nobody had talked about Kanter in years and accused him of “riding the wave on the backs of women.”

Rather than debating his points, Lindsay urged listeners not to take the bait, stating that public outrage “is what he is so desperately craving right now.” She slammed his motives, saying:

“[He is] Trying to sacrifice, belittle, and direct all these negative things towards women along the way while claiming that he is one as he declares himself for the draft. It’s ridiculous. If there are top three losers right now, he is on the list.”

Despite the criticism, Kanter took his stunt directly to Wintrust Arena on Sunday for the matchup between the Chicago Sky and the Indiana Fever. Sitting courtside in a shirt reading “WOMAN noun. adult human female,” he proved to be a huge distraction.

Late in the third quarter, Sky guard Natasha Cloud confronted Kanter from the floor. When Kanter stood up and stepped toward the court with his arms spread wide, arena security rushed in and escorted him out of the building.

The sideline circus completely derailed Chicago’s focus, leading to a disastrous second-half collapse and an eventual 113-90 blowout loss in which Caitlin Clark starred with 37 points.

Kanter’s courtside spectacle showed that when outside figures use WNBA games to score political points, it’s the sport itself that ends up paying the price.
