How Coco Gauff and Iva Jovic Reacted to Alexandra Eala’s New York Photos

Earlier this season, Eala made history at Wimbledon by becoming the first Filipino player to reach the fourth round of a Grand Slam. The 21-year-old will now look to build on that breakthrough at the US Open.

Eala heads into the Major with a promising North American hardcourt swing under her belt, having won her maiden tour-level title at the Mubadala DC Open after triumphing over Leylah Fernandez, Elina Svitolina, Naomi Osaka, and Jessica Pegula.

After a fourth-round exit at the Canadian Open and a loss in the third round of the Cincinnati Open, the Filipina recently arrived at the US Open venue to begin gearing up for the final Grand Slam of the season.

Eala’s arrival was met with a wave of excitement, with crowds of fans lining up to catch a glimpse of the rising star. Her popularity necessitated security measures, as she was seen moving around the grounds with guards surrounding her.

In between her training sessions, Eala made the most of her trip to New York with several scenic outings. She shared a glimpse of her experiences on Instagram, showing off her chic outfits while celebrating her rise to a career-high ranking of world No. 18.

“You have been dumped💋,” Eala captioned her post.

Eala has formed several close friendships on the WTA tour, and those strong bonds were on display as her fellow WTA players gushed over her in the comments. Coco Gauff, Iva Jovic, Eva Lys, and Zeynep Sönmez couldn’t get enough of the 21-year-old’s photos.

“10/10,” Gauff commented.

“well i’m sure happy to be dumped😍,” Jovic posted.

“please dump me how many times you want,” Lys wrote.

“Looove your dumps🧡🧡🧡,” Sönmez commented.
