Emmanuel Acho Rips Jed York Over $140 Prostitution Sting

Speaking on his SPEAKEASY show, former NFL linebacker Emmanuel Acho delivered a sharp critique of York after details of the arrest became public. Acho focused on the $140 payment involved in the alleged encounter and questioned why a wealthy NFL owner would put himself in such a situation.

“Jed York, you make too much money to be this sloppy,” Acho said.

Acho then pointed to York’s financial position while criticizing the decision that led to the arrest.

He continued by questioning the setting and circumstances of the alleged encounter. “Come on, Jed. Like, you gotta pick a struggle. You can’t be reckless and [expletive]. You can be reckless or [expletive], but you can’t be reckless and [expletive],” Acho remarked.

The former Eagles linebacker returned to the $140 figure while discussing the risks associated with the alleged transaction. “$140, it don’t even buy you privacy. It might not even buy you exclusivity. $140 not even gonna pay for the test that you better make sure she took before you got with her, he added.”

York was arrested Aug. 23 in East Palestine, Ohio, after allegedly responding to an online advertisement posted as part of an undercover operation by the Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force. Court documents say York used his cellphone to arrange a sexual encounter and agreed to pay $140.

Authorities initially charged him with engaging in prostitution and possessing criminal tools. The prostitution charge was later reduced to disorderly conduct, while the criminal tools charge remained.

York pleaded no contest on Aug. 24, received credit for time served, and paid $1,150 in fines and fees.

The legal case has ended, but the NFL is reviewing the incident under its personal conduct policy.
