There’s been a lot of on-court noise around Caitlin Clark this season, but off the court, the WNBA superstar is quietly going about her business.
That much was evident as her fanbase noticed a quiet but sentimental detail about the Indiana Fever star’s considerate personality.
Caitlin Clark Makes Heartwarming Gesture Towards Late Fan
The story in question came about after fans did some digging and pointed out that the former Rookie of the Year had taken note of a fundraiser following the death of a fan who helmed a social media page called “Fever Bandwagon.”
A fundraiser had been set up in her name with the mission to provide resources to various local classrooms in her memory. Going through the donations to the fundraiser, fans noticed an interesting development: Clark had quietly donated $2,000 to the effort.

The story immediately caught fire, as her most ardent supporters showered Clark with love for the sweet gesture. One fan proclaimed, “Y’all could NEVER EVER make me hate her. Caitlin Clark is an amazing young woman.”
An Iowa beat writer, David Eickholt, though, wasn’t surprised by the development. He noted, “Not surprising given her character, but a classy move nevertheless. Always bigger than basketball. RIP”
One fan believed this is the kind of sentiment that has allowed Clark to become such a mainstream name across sports and develop a passionate fan following unlike almost anyone else in the space.
“This is the kind of thing that makes Caitlin Clark special. One of her fans passed away, and fans came together to raise money for a fundraiser in her honor. Caitlin noticed and quietly contributed too. She didn’t need anyone to know. She just showed up.”
Rosaline Lee of Sports Illustrated was also moved by the gesture, showcasing her shock at the matter, while another fan could only exclaim, “This is insanely sweet.”

The bond between Clark and her fan base is second to none, as she’s already been an overwhelming All-Star candidate, with her voting totals setting the record during the 2025 season.
It hasn’t been purely due to her connection with the fans, though, as Clark has more than proven herself on the court as the Fever have emerged as a legitimate contender at 24-13, good for the fourth-best record in the WNBA.
This season, even as she returned from an injury that kept him out for most of last year, she is averaging a career high in points (21.4), field goal percentage (44.4%), and 3-point percentage (35.4%) while adding 8.3 assists per game.
