Clark dropped 24 points on 7-16 shooting from the field while racking up 7 assists on the night.

Despite not playing in the fourth quarter, Mitchell was the star of the offense in the win. She had 29 points, including a blistering 16-point first quarter. The four-time All-Star went 11-16 from the field and scored the 8 points in the third quarter before heading to the locker room.

Head coach Stephanie White explained that Mitchell exiting the game early was due to her “overheating.”

When asked about Mitchell’s absence from the fourth, Clark playfully took a dig at the nation of Canada, saying, “Maybe if Canada had air conditioning, that would probably be helpful. It’s a million degrees in here, but hopefully she’ll be okay.”
