Tony Pollard Fantasy Projection 2026: Should You Draft the Titans RB?

Tony Pollard has a secure role and a capped ceiling. Why the Titans RB is a stabilizing RB3 rather than a target in 2026 fantasy football drafts.

Tony Pollard’s career arc has been a fascinating one. He went from an underutilized slasher to an efficient 1B to a somewhat boring, yet effective plodder. Now entering the tail-end of his career, what does the Tennessee Titans RB have left to offer fantasy football managers?

Should You Draft Titans RB Tony Pollard in Fantasy Football?

It’s a bit ironic how the best season of Pollard’s career came before he saw a spike in volume. In 2022, Pollard averaged 15.6 fantasy points per game on just 232 touches. Of course, he was on a much better offense with the Dallas Cowboys and scored 12 times. That helps. But the volume was nowhere near what it was now.

At 210 pounds, Pollard is not miscast as a feature back. He’s always had the size and skill to do it. It was just prior to the 2023 season that the Cowboys had Ezekiel Elliott.

In his first season as a true lead back, Pollard mostly failed. He averaged 4.0 yards per carry, the lowest of his career. His 13.1 PPG was fine, but a stark decline from his borderline RB1 numbers the year prior.

One reason for Pollard’s struggles was that he was coming off a fibula fracture, an injury that has often sapped a running back’s explosiveness in his first year back. Pollard was healthy enough to play, but not 100% yet.

After signing with the Titans in 2024, the jury was out on whether Pollard could remain as effective with the offensive downgrade. He wound up being mostly the same player, with a line very similar to the year prior, averaging 12.5 PPG.

Last season, Pollard had the same role as the Titans’ RB1, albeit with slightly less volume. He saw 301 touches in 2024. That dipped to 277 in 2025. It’s not a huge drop and was more a product of the team environment than a deliberate effort to reduce his role, but it did cause him a meaningful drop in PPG to just 10.9.

Pollard’s Redraft Fantasy Football Value

Pollard is a very tricky evaluation for the 2026 season. On the one hand, he’s still the clear RB1. Tyjae Spears will remain involved as the 1b, but the team has never indicated he will be anything more than that. And I am not concerned about rookie Nick Singleton, who is purely there as depth and will barely play as long as Pollard and Spears are healthy.

It is a new coaching staff led by Robert Saleh. However, he has no allegiance to either Pollard or Spears. So, he’ll just play the guy best suited for the lead back role the most, and that’s Pollard.

In his prime, Pollard was one of the most effective pass catchers at the position. In 2022, he averaged 1.86 yards per route run, fourth in the league. Since then, he’s been at 0.86, 1.08, and 0.86. That is a major red flag.

On the other hand, Pollard’s yards per carry rebounded to 4.5 last season despite playing on a Titans offense that ranked 31st in scoring. Pollard did what he could, but was let down by his offensive environment.

We did see some signs of progression from Cam Ward during the latter portion of last season. While that didn’t necessarily translate into fantasy production for Pollard, he showed significant signs of life over the final month.

From Weeks 14-18, Pollard posted total yardage games of 161, 112, 102, 95, and 65. He averaged 18.4 carries per game over that five-week stretch. That does not sound like a player who is necessarily declining.

So…what to do? Pollard’s ADP is a very reasonable RB28. You can draft him as your RB3 and get a starting running back in the NFL in what could be a surprisingly competent offense. Even an improvement to below average would increase his touchdown potential.

On the other side, what is Pollard’s actual upside? RB20? RB18? Can he be more than a mid RB2? Probably not. But that still may be worth it.

Pollard is the type of running back you draft based on roster construction. I have him ranked as RB30, slightly below ADP. But that’s more because I lean toward upside in all phases of the draft.

If you start with a zero-RB-type roster or with more volatile players, Pollard is a very safe pick to give your team some stability. That feels like his most useful role for fantasy in 2026.
