Caitlin Clark and Paige Bueckers gave WNBA fans another must-watch matchup Friday night. Two of the league’s brightest young stars traded buckets in Indiana, and by the final whistle, Clark had once again left teammates and fans in awe.
Caitlin Clark’s Teammate Praises Fever Star After 29-Point Performance
Clark finished with 29 points and 10 assists on 11-for-18 shooting as the Indiana Fever beat the Dallas Wings 98-87 at home. Bueckers matched her scoring output point for point, dropping 29 of her own to keep Dallas in the fight.
But Clark’s third-quarter blitz tipped the game in Indiana’s favor as she scored 17 points in the period alone, turning a close game into a comfortable win.
Her performance also gave teammate Tyasha Harris another reason to appreciate what it is like playing alongside the Fever superstar.
“I mean, I’m in awe watching CC play,” Harris said during her postgame press conference. “Sometimes it’s like, it’s normal, and it’s not. So it’s just great to be on her side officially this year.”

Harris was not simply watching from the bench, either. The veteran guard delivered when the Fever needed another scoring option, going a perfect 5-for-5 from 3-point range and the charity stripe.
Her precise shooting helped the Fever maintain pressure while Clark continued to create opportunities for herself and her teammates.
Clark’s third quarter was particularly outstanding. Her 17-point blitz in the period turned up the offensive pressure as Indiana began to create separation from Dallas.
Friday’s performance also added another entry to her growing WNBA record book. It marked the 20th game of Clark’s career with at least 20 points and 10 assists. No other player in WNBA history has recorded more than 10 such games.
While Clark grabbed much of the spotlight, Bueckers made sure the contest remained competitive.
The Wings guard matched Clark’s scoring and also added 6 assists and 6 rebounds. Her offensive firepower kept the Wings within striking distance, even as the Fever eventually pulled away.
Clark’s efficiency stood out as well, with a 70% true shooting percentage highlighting how effective she was throughout the night. Her combination of scoring, passing, and shot-making helped Indiana post its third straight victory this week.
For Harris, however, the biggest takeaway was still the opportunity to share the floor with Clark and deliver when her team needed it the most.
“I’m a vet,” Harris said. “You’ve got to stay ready whenever your number is called. And my number was called today, and I went perfect. So it felt great.”
With Clark producing at a record-setting pace and Bueckers answering with the same ferocity, Friday’s matchup added another chapter to a rivalry that is quickly becoming one of the WNBA’s biggest attractions.
