Caitlin Clark delivered a scorching first half and another historic performance on Tuesday, leading the Indiana Fever to a 106-92 victory over the New York Liberty.
The superstar point guard erupted for 18 points on 5-for-9 shooting through the first two quarters, including a blistering 4-for-5 mark from beyond the arc. Her hot start helped Indiana build a commanding 64-46 halftime advantage, giving the Fever control of the game and plenty for the WNBA world to talk about.

Clark wasn’t the only Fever star who came out firing.
Kelsey Mitchell also put together a scintillating opening half, scoring 20 points on 8-for-11 shooting while going a perfect 3-for-3 from 3-point range. Together, the two guards helped Indiana establish its early dominance.
The Fever carried that momentum into the third quarter, keeping the Liberty at arm’s length while building an 87-67 lead. New York made things more interesting in the fourth behind Sabrina Ionescu, but Indiana had already created too much separation.
Aliyah Boston helped close the door, scoring 7 of her 19 points in the final frame to keep the Liberty from mounting a comeback.
Indiana’s Big 3 of Boston, Clark, and Mitchell combined for 69 points, 14 rebounds, and 17 assists. Clark finished with 22 points and 10 assists, recording her 10th double-double of the season.
The performance also secured Clark another place in WNBA history.
She recorded her 9th game of the season with at least 20 points and 10 assists, breaking the record she set in 2024 when she produced 8 such outings. According to Underdog WNBA, “no other player has ever had more than 5 in a season.”
The double-double marked the 29th of Clark’s career in just 82 games, moving her into third place among guards. Courtney Williams is second with 31 double-doubles in 367 outings. Courtney Vandersloot remains the all-time leader with 63 across 452 contests.
Clark’s historic night, combined with Indiana’s dominant team performance, quickly drew praise from the WNBA community on X.
