Pat McAfee is rarely caught at a loss for words. Yet, for a few moments during Monday’s show, Aaron Rodgers managed to do just that: silence a group full of people who get paid to talk about sports on TV.
One of McAfee’s former ESPN co-workers couldn’t help but notice the usually opinionated former NFL punter stay silent as Rodgers rambled on about one conspiracy after another. Especially when one of them hit close to home with McAfee.
Aaron Rodgers ‘On Fire’ on The Pat McAfee Show
Rodgers’ Monday appearance on “The Pat McAfee Show” generated more than its fair share of debate in the NFL world. At one point, Rodgers referred to the Dianna Russini-Mike Vrabel controversy as a “major scandal,” and suggested there could be “tampering” implications involving Russini’s past reporting.
“You have literally an individual that used to work at ESPN that covers our league at the highest level, and there’s a major scandal, and it’s just, like, nobody can [expletive] talk about it,” Rodgers said.
“What are we even doing here? If it’s affecting certain things, if there’s leaks going on, if there’s tampering going on, if that person is also an MVP voter and a Coach of the Year voter. How are we allowing these people to have an impact?”
Rodgers also went off about how ESPN spent so much time on his vaccination status in the past, yet didn’t have time to dedicate to the Russini scandal, who was also a former employee of the four-letter network.
One person who was paying close attention throughout it all was ex-ESPN star Linda Cohn. She couldn’t help but notice how Rodgers managed to silence McAfee after he questioned the network’s lack of coverage on Russini and Vrabel’s controversial past.

Usually, McAfee has some sort of response. This time, he mostly let Rodgers ramble on.
At one point, McAfee did try to get a few words in, but once again, Rodgers took command of the conversation while he finished his points about “Tony” Fauci.
Lastly, McAfee admitted that the Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback has had a “fun ride”, playing a part in multiple conspiracy theories in the past few years.
Rodgers, meanwhile, was simply smiling through it all.
