Jessica Pegula Reveals Tommy Paul’s Adorable Wedding Day Jitters

The wedding was at Old Westbury Gardens on Long Island, New York, one year after the World No. 21’s Nantucket proposal to Lorenze.

On the latest episode of “The Player’s Box Podcast,” hosts Desirae Krawczyk, Jenny Brady, Madison Keys, and Pegula discussed the whirlwind of recent tennis weddings, including those of Paul, Asia Muhammad, and fellow players Katie and Alex.

Pegula, soaking in the celebrations alongside fellow players like Frances Tiafoe, Reilly Opelka, and Taylor Fritz, who served as groomsmen for Paul, shared a candid interaction she had with the groom shortly after the ceremony:

“Tommy was really emotional, too. And like when we saw him after, he’s like, ‘I’ve never been so nervous in my entire life.’ Like he was like, ‘I was like not okay.’ He was freaking out. It was adorable,” Pegula said.

In their interview with Vogue, Paul also opened up about being completely in awe of Lorenze as he watched her walk down the aisle. “I was weak in the knees. It felt like my heart was going to burst out of my chest, and I couldn’t hold back tears,” he said.
