Deion Sanders and Shedeur Sanders are in the news a lot. Considering the former is a Hall of Fame player who now coaches the University of Colorado football team, and the latter is vying to become the Cleveland Browns’ starting quarterback, they’re both in the spotlight.
Former NFL head coach Rex Ryan, who has worked as an ESPN football analyst since 2016, often says something that generates a lot of attention, almost as if he were still an active coach.
Now, these two worlds are colliding.
Deion Sanders Reposts NFL Analyst Defending Shedeur
Ryan recently criticized Shedeur, saying, “There has to be more we than me,” after Sanders posted about a photoshoot for himself. He was essentially suggesting Sanders has a me-first attitude.
Then, ironically, the very next day after Ryan made his comments, Sanders hosted a free football camp, in which the joy on the kids’ faces was clear as day. Sanders almost immediately made a gesture that showed he wasn’t all just about himself. He also takes time to give back to the community.
Meanwhile, now Cleveland sports analyst Garrett Bush is defending the Browns QB, too.

“He just gave the camp, right?” Bush asked. “You spend a bunch of money to go down there. And let me just tell you about what happens in the Black community: we talked about how expensive it is… how there’s no access. He pulled up to a place where disenfranchised people, who don’t have much, and just to see the joy on their faces and the way they reacted was crazy.”
Bush went on to question what it means for a 63-year-old Ryan to be so critical of Sanders, when the young QB is just trying to do some good for the kids.

“I love kids, to make sure they have access to certain things,” Bush continued. “So for Rex Ryan to take that opportunity, when somebody is doing something good in their community, to do something where he’s going to garner some respect or garner some clicks. Bro, it wasn’t even about that.”
“He just gave a free camp, and at certain points of time, you gotta look yourself in the mirror as a grown man, like what makes you say that?” Bush continued. “When you’re saying, ‘Oh it’s a me guy’ when he’s out here trying to do something for the community and did it free of charge. That tells me more about you than it tells me about him because you using that to capitalize on something that don’t even need to be talked about.”
Meanwhile, Deion loved the reaction. He didn’t need to expand on Bush’s thoughts; he simply retweeted the clip and said, “PREACH!”

There’s not much more that needs to be said. If anything, Ryan may feel compelled to issue Sanders an apology as he learns more about the man vying to become the Browns’ next starting QB.
