Eight-time Pro Bowl wide receiver Tyreek Hill is continuing on his long road to recovery this offseason, following the unfortunate knee and leg injury suffered back in Week 4 of the 2025 NFL season.
The former Miami Dolphins pass catcher recently came out to reveal the struggles he has had to regain power in his left leg, 10 months removed from two surgeries to repair a dislocated knee and multiple ligament tears.
Tyreek Hill Shares Recovery Progress Nearly 10 Months After Major Knee Injury
Hill, who remains a free agent after being released by the Dolphins, shared a video on social media documenting his rehab progress. While the video showed him completing some advanced movements, Hill stated he is still a ways away from returning to the football field.
“So it’s about 10 months after doing two surgeries,” Hill said. “My left leg is the one that I injured. I have no power in my left leg, so I’m trying to regain all the power back in my left leg. But it’s one day at a time.”
Despite still lacking any sort of power in his left leg, Hill says he has already defied the odds of what doctors said he would be capable of at this stage of his rehabilitation.
Hill said he was told he “might not be able to walk again” after the injury, but 10 months after a pair of surgeries, he feels much improved and is clearly happy with the process of his rehab.

“I ain’t going to tell you what my timeline is, but timeline looking real good right now, man,” Hill said.
His agent, Drew Rosenhaus, has previously indicated that the priority is ensuring Hill is fully healthy before evaluating potential opportunities with a new team.
If Hill can get back to full strength and chooses to pursue a continued career in the NFL, there will surely be a number of suitors lined up to inquire about the former Super Bowl champion’s services.

The latest video documenting Hill’s progress serves as a reminder that Hill is still pushing toward an eventual NFL return. Although Hill declined to reveal a specific timetable, the veteran wideout expressed confidence that his recovery is moving in the right direction.
Before the injury, Hill had been established as one of the league’s most explosive playmakers. Across stints with the Kansas City Chiefs and Dolphins, Hill has totaled 819 receptions for 11,363 receiving yards and 83 touchdowns over 10 seasons.

In the 2023 NFL season, he had 119 receptions for a league-leading 1,799 yards and 13 touchdowns on 171 targets, averaging 15.1 yards per reception. According to PFN’s WR Impact Metric, he was the highest-rated wideout in the league that season with an impact score of 93.8.
Whether Hill makes a remarkable return to the field later this season or at a later date remains uncertain, but his latest comments make it clear that health is priority one. After being told he might never walk again, simply getting back to running and leaping out of the water has already marked a significant milestone in his recovery, despite his left leg lacking power.
