Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua has emerged as one of the best wideouts in the NFL. Last season, his 96.3 WR Impact Score ranked No. 1 among all wide receivers.
However, Nacua has been making headlines for the wrong reasons lately, prompting former NFL linebacker Emmanuel Acho to call him out and compare the Rams superstar to another problematic NFL wideout.
Emmanuel Acho Calls Out Puka Nacua, Compares His Legal Issue to Stefon Diggs’
Nacua is being sued by a woman who claims that the Rams wideout bit her, and she recently provided photographic evidence. Nacua’s lawyer, Levi McCathern, acknowledged the bite but referred to it as mutual “horseplay” and stated that they’ll be filing a defamation lawsuit. Nacua entered a rehab facility after the incident.
On the “Speakeasy” podcast, Acho called out Nacua and compared the allegation to Diggs’ off-field problems.
“What’s up with wide receivers not being able to keep their mouths to themselves? Stefon Diggs is putting his tongue in dude’s ears, allegedly,” Acho said. “Like, come on, man. Receivers, keep your hands to yourself, keep your mouths to yourselves, please!”
Acho is alluding to a suit filed by influencer Chris Blake Griffith, who accused Diggs of putting his tongue in his ear as well as “intentionally drugging him, making unwanted sexual advances towards him, and later conspiring to kill him.”
Acho then warned Nacua that he needs to be careful since he’s entering the final year of his rookie contract and is up for a market-resetting extension.

“So clearly, I think Puka may have bit this individual,” Acho said. “Now it’s just gonna come down to like, ‘Puka, how y’all gonna settle?’ Y’all gonna settle out of court. How you gonna handle this situation? Obviously, Puka, $42.5 million a year is what’s at stake because that’s the top of the wide receiver market.”
Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba recently inked a four-year, $168.6 million extension that will pay him $42.15 million annually, so Nacua is trying to negotiate a similar contract. To Acho’s point, Nacua needs this story to go away because the longer this matter drags on, the more headlines it generates, and the more negative attention Nacua will receive during his extension talks with the Rams.
It’s worth noting that the biting incident is not the first time that controversy has found Nacua. Last year, after a win over the Arizona Cardinals, Nacua began livestreaming from the Rams’ locker room. The franchise has a policy that strictly prohibits that activity. On top of that, multiple teammates asked him to stop filming.
Last December, Nacua appeared on influencer Adin Ross’ livestream and used an anti-Semitic hand gesture. Moreover, the alleged victim of the biting claims that the wideout unleashed an anti-Semitic tirade before biting her.
