The Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks have been up for sale for some time. On Saturday, the estate of Paul G. Allen sold the franchise for $9.612 billion.
The Seahawks’ new owners are the Khosla family, led by Neeru Khosla, who will be the team’s controlling owner. The deal remains subject to NFL approval.

“Following a thorough sales process run by Allen & Co., the Estate of Paul Allen has reached agreement to sell the Seattle Seahawks to the Khosla family and several limited partners, subject to membership review and approval,” according to the memo.
“Allen & Co. reported very robust interest in the Club throughout the process, with the Khosla group emerging as the Club’s preferred buyer among multiple qualified bidders. The Khosla family currently owns a limited partner interest in the San Francisco 49ers and would be required to divest that interest.

The Seahawks ended the 2025-26 NFL season on top of the football world. Seattle defeated the New England Patriots 29-13 in Super Bowl LX to win the championship. Quarterback Sam Darnold had a dream season, and running back Kenneth Walker III earned Super Bowl MVP honors.
With new ownership in place, the future of Seattle’s NFL franchise just got solidified. The Khosla family has big shoes to fill as the late Allen, who co-founded Microsoft Corporation alongside Bill Gates, owned the Seahawks for some time before his death. After his death in 2018, ownership was transferred to his estate.
