Jannik Sinner and Novak Djokovic will renew their rivalry in the semifinals of the 2026 Wimbledon Championships. The two have faced off in some thrilling matches over the years, including at the Australian Open semifinals earlier this year.
Ahead of their blockbuster battle, we have the lowdown on the teams supporting Djokovic and Sinner at Wimbledon.
Jannik Sinner’s Team at the 2026 Wimbledon Championships
Sinner’s team at Wimbledon is anchored by his coaches Simone Vagnozzi and Darren Cahill. Both have been by the Italian’s side since 2022.
Vagnozzi leads the day-to-day coaching of Sinner and works on the technical part of his game in training. Cahill is regarded as one of the most experienced coaches on the ATP Tour and has previously worked with Lleyton Hewitt, Andre Agassi, and Simona Halep.
The Australian utilizes his experience to help prepare Sinner for the big matches, like the one against Djokovic on Friday. Sinner regards Cahill as a “second father” and convinced him to stay until the end of the 2026 season, with his contract initially due to expire at the end of last year.
Umberto Ferrara is Sinner’s fitness coach. He returned to his compatriot’s coaching staff last year, a year after he was fired for his role in the player’s contamination case in 2024. Also joining Sinner is Andrea Cipolla, an osteopath and physical trainer.
Alejandro Resnicoff became the latest addition to Sinner’s team late last year, joining the entourage as a physiotherapist. He is highly regarded, having worked with the ATP for more than a decade.
Novak Djokovic’s Team at 2026 Wimbledon Championships
The 24-time Grand Slam champion has had several different coaches over the years. Notably, he has made multiple changes of late.
Boris Bošnjaković officially joined Djokovic’s team in late 2023, having previously also worked at his tennis academy. He has also previously served as the head coach of the Serbian Davis Cup team.
Meanwhile, Dušan Vemić had a 15-year playing career before becoming a coach. He started his coaching career with Andrea Petkovic before joining Djokovic’s team in the early 2010s. He had coaching spells with other players before returning to his compatriot’s team in 2025.

The most recent addition to Djokovic’s team is Viktor Troicki, who is with the Serb at Wimbledon. The 40-year-old joined the team ahead of the French Open and has previous coaching experience in the Davis Cup, as well as with Hamad Medjedovic and Miomir Kecmanović.
Carlos Gómez-Herrera serves as a hitting partner for Djokovic, while Miljan Amanović serves as his physiotherapist and Dalibor Sirola serves as his fitness coach.
