‘How Didn’t I Get An Invite?’ — Super Bowl Champion Questions Being Left Off Travis Kelce-Taylor Swift’s Wedding Guest List

Now that the celebrations are over, Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are dealing with the fallout of the wedding guest list.

What many dubbed as the wedding of the year saw the next step in Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s love story. Tying the knot in a joyous celebration at Madison Square Garden, the entire affair was kept extremely private.

From a carefully curated guest list to the lack of cell phones at the event, the wedding’s precautions were through the roof. Still, some details have started to emerge, including a few prominent names who were in attendance. However, the guest list has left others, who weren’t invited, perturbed.

Wedding Guest List Continues to Haunt Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift

An extravagant affair saw stars from virtually every industry make an appearance. Pop icons and NFL superstars were in attendance, while Adam Sandler was the wedding officiant for the couple.

Everything, from the cocktails to the food, was custom curated, with major brands like Christian Louboutin and Cartier helping with the ensemble in fashion and jewelry. The NFL made its presence felt as well.

Given Kelce’s role as one of the greatest tight ends in league history and a Kansas City Chiefs legend, a ton of athletes were also at the event. From his teammates to reigning NFL MVP Matthew Stafford, it was a star-studded night to celebrate the pair.

However, with only a limited number of folks invited to MSG, there were a few crestfallen faces in the sports landscape. A lot of NFL players with connections to Kelce have since come out and spoken about their surprise at not being invited.

The latest to speak out was Jason McCourty. A sixth-round pick for the Tennessee Titans, he spent more than a decade in the league as a solid defender in the secondary as a cornerback.

His key contributions came with the New England Patriots, where he was a member of the Super Bowl 53-winning squad. Since his playing career came to an end in 2021, McCourty has established himself as a major voice in the sports media landscape.

He now serves as an analyst for ESPN after previously working on “Good Morning Football” and as a color commentator for CBS. McCourty made an appearance on “The Schrager Hour,” the podcast hosted by his ESPN colleague (and former GMFB co-host), Peter Schrager. As the conversation shifted to the Kelce-Swift wedding, McCourty had some grievances.

“You almost get offended to some of the people showing up,” he said. “I’m like, ‘What? How didn’t I get an invite?’ Like, I’m a twin. Like, we both played in the league, we’re doing TV. We’re popular enough to get an invite but absolutely nothing.”

Going a step further, he did send some positivity to the couple in his hilarious way. “I look at the take on the wedding and it’s just like, on one end, as you can relate to as a married man for over a decade, I’m like, ‘Man, that’s just beautiful. They found love. They found each other.’ And then on the other end, I’m like, ‘I don’t give a [expletive] about the wedding.'”

Given his demeanor and the way he spoke about the wedding, it seems McCourty was joking and doesn’t actually have any bad blood over the situation. But add him to the list of ex-NFL players who are upset that they didn’t get an invite, which also includes “Bussin’ With the Boys” co-hosts Will Compton and Taylor Lewan.
