‘Leave That Lady Alone’ — NFL World Reacts As New Video Of Dianna Russini Surfaces Amid Mike Vrabel Controversy

The NFL community on X had mixed reactions to Page Six posting a clip of former NFL insider Dianna Russini on vacation with her family.

Former NFL insider Dianna Russini’s reputation took a further hit last week when an anecdote she recounted on a podcast was debunked after bodycam footage obtained by The Center Square contradicted her claims. Russini has had to endure a public reckoning after her alleged relationship with New England Patriots coach Mike Vrabel was uncovered in April.

On Monday, Page Six published a clip of Russini enjoying a July 4 cruise with her husband, Shake Shack executive Kevin Goldschmidt, and it went viral on social media.

Dianna Russini’s Video With Family Sparks Reactions

The couple reportedly enjoyed a Royal Caribbean Oasis of the Seas cruise with their two sons, even as the scandal over the former NFL insider’s relationship with Vrabel continues to grab headlines.

The NFL community on X had mixed reactions to the release of the couple looking lovey-dovey on vacation:

One user named Steven urged the press to leave Russini alone. “Good lord man leave that lady alone,” he wrote.

Another user on X pivoted to criticizing Vrabel and Russini’s spouses for their behavior after the revelation of the affair. “Both Vrabel’s wife and Russini’s husband come off looking like either the biggest pushovers in the world or just don’t care,” he said.

NFL Draft analyst Thor Nystrom called it a “PR stunt” to distract from the claims of collusion between Vrabel and Russini.

“Wonder who [Page Six] their “source” was in the middle of the ocean. Media outlets won’t report on the abuses of her post, some of which may have documented the breaking of NFL rules, but we got Russolini’s family members telling P6 about the excursions available on her luxury PR stunt,” Nystrom wrote.

NFL podcaster Tony Farmer smelled a conspiracy from Page Six to sanitize Russini’s ruined reputation after a witness told the publication that “They [Russini and her husband] seemed to be engaged with one another. They were very family oriented with their kids. They took the kids to the Splash Pad together and were laughing at the pool.”

Farmer called them out and said, “Page Six is the same publication that imo [in my opinion] likely used a false witness in its story about Dianna Russini taking part in a “daring rescue” of an elderly man and dog and changed its story 4 hours after I called them out. Today, Page Six released this quote.”

He continued, “Lots of “family oriented” content of Vrabel and Russini lately. I’m not doubting they are family-oriented people, but when witnesses happen to say exactly what a PR strategist would want them to say, it’s interesting.”

One user, Allen Dale, criticized the media storm surrounding Russini and urged the press to move on. “Seriously, you all need to leave her alone. It’s over, move on to another story. They do have kids. I’d be mortified if this happened to my parents,” he wrote.

Over two months after the former NFL insider resigned, the outcome of The Athletic’s internal investigation into Russini’s journalistic conduct has not yet been announced, yet she has continued to command headlines as details of her long-running alleged affair are revealed.
