Transforming Madison Square Garden into a wedding venue was a massive undertaking. Event planners reportedly compared the production to filming a blockbuster movie, with 11 streets in Midtown Manhattan closed to accommodate the event. White privacy tents surrounded the venue to keep the ceremony out of public view.
Inside, the iconic arena was transformed into a stunning “secret garden.” According to a since-deleted post from AMC CEO Adam Aron, the venue featured peach-colored carpeting, lush greenery, and oversized photos of Swift and Kelce captured throughout their lives. Guests also received custom party favors featuring the āBlank Space,ā and “So it’s gonna be forever.”
The ceremony was officiated by comedian and actor Adam Sandler, a close friend of the couple. Rather than having a traditional bridal party, Travis Kelce’s brother, Jason Kelce, served as best man, while Taylor Swift’s brother, Austin Swift, stood as her man of honor. Their vows were reportedly written entirely by the couple and described by guests as heartfelt and emotional.
Swift and Kelce both wore custom Christian Dior Haute Couture designed by Jonathan Anderson, with Christian Louboutin shoes completing their looks. Swift also accessorized with Cartier jewelry.
Around 1,000 guests from Hollywood, music, and sports attended the private celebration, arriving in a continuous stream of black SUVs. With phones prohibited inside, most details emerged through guest sightings after the event.
Among the celebrity attendees were Gigi Hadid, Bradley Cooper, Blake Lively, Ryan Reynolds, Emma Stone, Selena Gomez, Greta Gerwig, Tom Hanks, Hugh Grant, Jason Sudeikis, and Ethan Hawke.
The NFL world was equally well represented, with Patrick Mahomes, Andy Reid, Kareem Hunt, Mecole Hardman, Tom Brady, George Kittle, Cooper Kupp, Abby Wambach, Joe Buck, and Michelle Beisner-Buck all in attendance.
The celebration officially became public Friday night when Madison Square Garden’s jumbotron lit up with the message “JUST&T MARRIED!” across the New York skyline. Soon afterward, a brief rainstorm gave way to a rainbow over Manhattan, providing a memorable ending to an unforgettable day.
