Bill Belichick’s girlfriend Jordon Hudson has followed along closely as the Mike Vrabel-Dianna Russini scandal unfolds.
While Hudson’s relationship to Belichick was mainstream news, many in sports media have shied away from covering the Russini-Vrabel scandal. This double standard has seemingly frustrated Hudson, who previously called out the media’s silence. Now, one of the most overlooked aspects of the scandal has gotten her attention.
Jordon Hudson Continues to Show Interest in Dianna Russini-Mike Vrabel Scandal
One aspect of the Vrabel-Russini scandal that hasn’t been talked about enough is that the former NFL insider was an NFL award voter, and Vrabel was named the NFL’s Coach of the Year last season.
The Associated Press, which administers the NFL’s awards voting, has been eerily silent about this conflict of interest and Russini’s future as a voter. They have also refused to release her ballot despite the fact that they released every voter’s ballot the year before.
When NFL podcaster Tony Farmer tweeted about this, Hudson liked the post.
“It appears that Bill Belichick’s girlfriend Jordon Hudson also has an interest in the fact that Dianna Russini is still one of 50 AP COTY voters and the AP will not release her ballot like they did for all other voters last year,” Farmer wrote. “This is a now a highly-taboo subject in media.”

Since the first pictures of Russini and Vrabel at the Arizona resort were published, internet sleuths have been all over the situation, trying to piece together the entire story. From past interviews to random tweets to Spotify playlists, the story has had everyone’s attention.
Yet, for the most part, no media outlet has extensively covered it, particularly from the NFL-awards angle. Russini resigned from her role at The Athletic in April, and an investigation into her reporting is ongoing. As for Vrabel, he admitted to having some tough conversations with his family and the New England Patriots organization, and he stepped away from the team on Day 3 of the 2026 NFL Draft to attend counseling.
It remains to be seen if high-profile interest in the matter leads the Associated Press to break its silence or remove Russini as a voter. Now that she is no longer employed at The Athletic and recently referred to herself as a “former journalist” in leaked texts with a reporter from The New York Times, one would think she will no longer have a vote.
Still, the AP’s silence on the situation is strange, and Hudson and others are noticing.
