Wimbledon 2026 Men’s Singles Draw, Featuring Jannik Sinner and Novak Djokovic

Top seed and reigning champion Sinner opens his title defense against Serbia’s Miomir Kecmanović. The biggest name missing from this year’s field is two-time Wimbledon champion Carlos Alcaraz. The Spaniard, who finished runner-up last year, has been ruled out with a wrist injury.

With Alcaraz absent, reigning French Open champion Alexander Zverev has been elevated to the second seed and placed in the opposite half of the draw to Sinner. He opens his campaign against Belgium’s Alexander Blockx.

Felix Auger-Aliassime and Ben Shelton are the third and fourth seeds, respectively. The Canadian is in Sinner’s half of the draw and faces Kazakhstan’s Alexander Shevchenko in the first round. Meanwhile, the American is placed in Zverev’s half against Finnish qualifier Otto Virtanen.

Rounding out the top eight seeds are Alex de Minaur (No. 5), Taylor Fritz (No. 6), Djokovic (No. 7), and Daniil Medvedev (No. 8). De Minaur, placed in Shelton’s quarter, faces Argentine Roman Andres Burruchaga. Fritz finds himself in Zverev’s quarter and begins his title quest against a dangerous opponent in Jack Draper.

Djokovic and Medvedev are placed in Auger-Aliassime’s and Sinner’s quarters, respectively. The Serb opens his bid for an eighth Wimbledon title against China’s Wu Yibing. Medvedev’s first opponent is fellow former US Open champion Marin Čilić.

Other notable matchups include Andrey Rublev vs. Roman Safiullin, both of whom were quarterfinalists in 2023. Retiring wildcard Stan Wawrinka faces 2021 finalist Matteo Berrettini in his final appearance. Casper Ruud has been set up against 2021 semifinalist Hubert Hurkacz.

Women’s Singles Draw, Featuring Aryna Sabalenka and Serena Williams

On the women’s side, Sabalenka is the top seed. She is chasing her first grass-court title at the tournament. Her first-round opponent is Serbian qualifier Teodora Kostovic.

Elena Rybakina, the 2022 champion, is the second seed at this year’s event and faces France’s Lois Boisson in her opener. In addition to pursuing a second Wimbledon title, she is also in contention for the World No. 1 ranking.

Defending champion Iga Świątek is seeded third. The Pole features in Rybakina’s half of the draw and begins her defense against American Taylor Townsend. Meanwhile, Sabalenka has fourth seed Jessica Pegula in her half. After a solid start to her grass-court campaign, the American has Czech player Darja Vidmanova as her first challenge at SW19.

Newly minted French Open champion Mirra Andreeva sits in Sabalenka’s quarter as the fifth seed. She begins her Wimbledon run with a tricky opener against Poland’s Magda Linette. Meanwhile, as the sixth seed, 2025 finalist Amanda Anisimova has been drawn in Rybakina’s quarter. Macedonian qualifier Lina Gjorcheska is her first challenge.

Coco Gauff and Elina Svitolina complete the top eight seeds and feature in Pegula’s and Świątek’s quarters, respectively. Gauff begins against Germany’s Tamara Korpatsch, while Svitolina has drawn compatriot Daria Snigur.

Serena Williams has emerged as one of the biggest talking points of the tournament after her competitive return earlier this month, following almost four years away from the tour. The seven-time champion now faces rising Australian star Maya Joint in her opener.
