Serena Williams Is Already Turning Heads at Wimbledon

Teaming up with Victoria Mboko, Serena Williams made her comeback to professional tennis at the Queen’s Club Championships. The duo impressed with their stunning win over No. 3 seeds Erin Routliffe and Nicole Melichar-Martinez in the first round before an injury to Mboko’s knee forced a premature end to their run. The American then partnered with Karolína Muchová at the Berlin Tennis Open, but the pair lost their opening match.

The 23-time Grand Slam champion and Venus Williams also received a doubles wildcard for Wimbledon, reviving their legendary partnership that includes six doubles Major titles and an Olympic gold medal at SW19. The most exciting news, however, came when Serena accepted a wildcard for the singles draw, sparking widespread anticipation.

The 44-year-old has been ramping up preparations for her much-awaited campaigns at the All England Club while enjoying the presence of her husband, Alexis Ohanian, and their daughters, Olympia and Adira. Williams’ latest practice session drew attention from Ben Shelton, who stopped in his tracks to watch her.
