The Toronto Raptors just had their best season in four years, making the playoffs and pushing the Cleveland Cavaliers to seven games in the first round.
Evidently, they want to strike while the iron is hot. One option is to upgrade their frontcourt, and Myles Turner has emerged as a possible target for Toronto.

Raptors May Express Interest in Myles Turner
Sportsnet’s Michael Grange reported that if the Milwaukee Bucks are truly blowing it up, Turner may be on the Raptors’ radar.
“A couple of league sources have suggested that the Raptors could be interested in Bucks centre Myles Turner if the Bucks go into fire-sale mode after a potential Antetokounmpo trade,” Grange wrote.
Grange also added why Turner may appeal to the Raptors.
“Mileage may vary on whether the 30-year-old Turner, coming off a down year and with three years and $83.8 million remaining on his deal, is an upgrade on [Jakob] Poeltl, but his profile as a floor-stretching rim protector (he’s averaged 1.9 blocks and 1.8 threes per game on 38.3 per cent shooting from deep over the past four seasons) might fit the Raptors’ needs better than the non-shooting Poeltl, whom the Cavaliers refused to guard outside 10 feet during the playoffs and created spacing issues for the likes of [Scottie] Barnes and [Brandon] Ingram.”
The Toronto Raptors are a team to monitor for Myles Turner, per @michaelgrange

Turner is coming off a rough season in Milwaukee. After the Bucks waived and stretched Damian Lillard’s contract, they signed him to a four-year, $108.9 million contract. In 71 games with the Bucks, Turner averaged 11.9 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 1.6 blocks per game while shooting 44% from the field and 38.3% from 3-point range.
It wasn’t entirely his fault, but the Bucks were a disaster, finishing 32-50 and missing the playoffs. With Giannis Antetokounmpo potentially on the way out, it may not make a whole lot of sense to keep the rest of the roster intact.

Turner’s value is at its lowest right now. For as bad as he was, he is also one year removed from being the starting center on an Indiana Pacers team that was arguably one Tyrese Haliburton injury away from winning a championship. Turner is a flawed player, but he would allow the Raptors to evolve, and he’s an interesting buy-low candidate.
The real question would be how a deal would shake out. Poetl is also coming off a down year while entering the second year of a four-year, $104 million contract. The Bucks would definitely want some draft compensation back if they were to make the swap. Even if Turner is overpaid, he’d be an upgrade for the Raptors.
