Comedian Demands Action From NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani Amid Rumors of Taylor Swift-Travis Kelce’s MSG Wedding

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are reportedly preparing for a massive wedding at Madison Square Garden in New York.

While some reports suggest the couple is planning to tie the knot around the Fourth of July, earlier speculation had centered around a mid-June event near Swift’s mansion in Rhode Island.

The Kelce-Swift wedding is one of the most anticipated events of the year so far, as two stars from their own worlds are ready to get hitched in the next few days.

While some sources suggested that Swift wants a small, intimate ceremony, a report by TMZ claimed that the couple is planning a massive wedding reception at MSG, which includes a massive guest list and a custom, concert-like stage made especially in Pennsylvania.

Reacting to Swift and Kelce possibly getting married at MSG, comedian Kathy Griffin expressed her dislike towards the idea during an appearance on the “Page Six Radio” show on SiriusXM.

“I’m just gonna say no. No, I’m shutting it down,” Griffin said. “I’m gonna call the mayor right after this… He’s very approachable, and I’m sure he’s very lovely, and just say, ‘Hey, quick question. I don’t even live here, didn’t vote for you, would have voted for you, but don’t even live here. I need you to call MSG, and then I need you to call a girl. Her first name is Taylor, and her last name will be Kelce. Right now it’s Swift. And just say these words: ‘I’m shutting it down.'”

“He’s the mayor of everyone. He is America’s mayor,” Griffin added. “So, I’m sure he’ll take care of it. But I’m going to say, but I need you to do it in front of me. And so I’ll make him take his phone out. And I have the number for MSG because I’ve played there. Not the big one, but I play the theater inside it. And then I’ll say, ‘Let’s do this together.’ And then she can just get married at St. Pat’s Cathedral like a normal celebrity.”

With the wedding festivities just around the corner, many fans and analysts wonder if it has been a distraction for the Kansas City Chiefs tight end; however, head coach Andy Reid cleared the air during a recent press conference.

Reid added that when he got married, his wife handled everything, and he just followed her lead and showed up. He said that while Kelce might be more involved than he is, the Chiefs tight end is pretty focused on his job.
